Coors Brewers
Coors Brewers was created in 2003 when the US brewing giant bought Burton-on-Trent-based Bass Brewers. The company brews Britain’s biggest-selling beer, Carling, as well as other leading brands such as Grolsch and Coors Light.
We are responsible for writing, designing and printing Cheers, which is one of the company's employee communications vehicles. The company has around 2,500 employees based at a number of different sites across the UK, and Cheers keeps Coors people up to date about the way the company is responding to the challenge of staying at the forefront of one of Britain’s most competitive industries. The magazine recently won a top award from Communicators in Business.

Inventables
Inventables LLC is a Chicago-based organisation which researches new products and materials and communicates them to designers and engineers, mainly in the USA, using its DesignAid subscription system. This comprises a printed quarterly magazine, which - uniquely - is accompanied by an actual physical example of each of the items or technologies featured in the magazine. This is then backed up by an online database of innovative products and materials that is available to subscribers. The whole package is designed to help creatives and development managers visualise how they could improve existing products or launch new product lines.
In 2005, Inventables decided to outsource the editing and layout of the magazine, and asked CPL to carry out the work.

Pathfinder Business
We were asked to come up with design concepts for a new magazine by Pathfinder Business, which has been set up to help UK businesses make the most of the commercial opportunities offered by developing world markets, including the Gulf States, Russia, India, Brazil, China and south-east Asia.
Now launched, Pathfinder Business is distributed to small business advisors, accountants and venture capitalists working with expanding UK companies, as well as directly to businesses themselves. The magazine's 'best practice' editorial is designed to demystify the processes involved in setting up business links with the fast-growth markets opened up by globalisation.
