Coors Brewers logo

Coors Brewers

Coors Brewers was created in 2003 when the US brewing giant bought Burton-on-Trent-based Bass Brewers. The company brews Britain’s biggest-selling beer, Carling, as well as other leading brands such as Grolsch and Coors Light.

We are responsible for writing, designing and printing Cheers, which is one of the company's employee communications vehicles. The company has around 2,500 employees based at a number of different sites across the UK, and Cheers keeps Coors people up to date about the way the company is responding to the challenge of staying at the forefront of one of Britain’s most competitive industries. The magazine recently won a top award from Communicators in Business.

Hip-Hop Connection

Hip-Hop Connection is the world's original monthly rap magazine, and is today still widely regarded as the most independent and original hip-hop publication on the market. The magazine carries music and club reviews, feature and exclusive interviews with top artists.

CPL designs the magazine, which is sold via newsstands in the UK and Europe, and which has a total circulation of around 30,000 copies.

Phoenix International Publishing

Essentially America is a respected destination and lifestyle magazine read by frequent leisure travellers from Britain to the United States and Canada. Published quarterly, and with 50,000 circulation, the magazine is packed with colourful and informative articles about the North American travel and holiday scene. Early in 2002, CPL was appointed by the magazine's American owners, Phoenix International Publishing, to carry out all design and print work on the title.

In addition, CPL is responsible for all design and production work on the publisher's extensive series of guides produced in association with North American States and travel organisations, currently numbering around 20 different publications - some of which are published in up to seven languages, including Japanese. The total combined circulation of these guides is likely to exceed a million copies this year.

Pro Audio Asia

Pro Audio Asia was launched in spring 2002 to serve the studio, broadcast and installation needs of South East Asia's professional sound technicians and entrepreneurs.

We were brought in as the creative designers for the launch issue, and continue to design the bimonthly magazine, which as of 2004 was complemented by a new title, Pro Audio Middle East.

Interact Publishing

Interact is a small company which is rapidly gaining a reputation for publishing some of the most authoritative and best-selling books about sport available today. Two of Interact's best-known titles are the Match of the Day 2006 Annual and its World Cup Stories which accompanies the major BBC TV documentary series of the same name. CPL was asked to design both books by Interact.

NatWest logo

National Westminster Bank

We furnished NatWest's small business managers in the field with an external guide containing economic and policy briefings, together with sample articles and presentations. The material, which was originally delivered on paper, was later supplied in a robust multi-media CD format.

Inventables

Inventables LLC is a Chicago-based organisation which researches new products and materials and communicates them to designers and engineers, mainly in the USA, using its DesignAid subscription system. This comprises a printed quarterly magazine, which - uniquely - is accompanied by an actual physical example of each of the items or technologies featured in the magazine. This is then backed up by an online database of innovative products and materials that is available to subscribers. The whole package is designed to help creatives and development managers visualise how they could improve existing products or launch new product lines.

In 2005, Inventables decided to outsource the editing and layout of the magazine, and asked CPL to carry out the work.
Pathfinder Business logo

Pathfinder Business

We were asked to come up with design concepts for a new magazine by Pathfinder Business, which has been set up to help UK businesses make the most of the commercial opportunities offered by developing world markets, including the Gulf States, Russia, India, Brazil, China and south-east Asia.

Now launched, Pathfinder Business is distributed to small business advisors, accountants and venture capitalists working with expanding UK companies, as well as directly to businesses themselves. The magazine's 'best practice' editorial is designed to demystify the processes involved in setting up business links with the fast-growth markets opened up by globalisation.
ntl logo

ntl

ntl is one of the country's leading providers of internet, telephone and television services. In late 2005, it announced that it was to merge with Telewest, the other cable operator in the UK, creating the country's second largest communications company, with coverage extending to more than 50 per cent of all households.

We have provided services for ntl over several years, generating customer loyalty leaflets and newspapers, website editorial content, and staff internal communications.
